Healthy School

Ysgol Glan Morfa has been part of the Conwy Healthy Schools Plan since 2003, and we are one of the few schools to have    successfully earned the fourth Healthy Schools Leaf.

The Plan aims to promote and develop every aspect of the health of the whole school through community partnerships, emotional health, fitness, safety, the environment and more.

The Fruit Shop

The fruit shop is open every playtime, offering everyone the opportunity to buy a piece of fruit for 30p.  Year 6 pupils are responsible for running the shop - which is very popular among the pupils and staff!

Travelling to School

As part of the Healthy School Project, we encourage children and parents to walk to school.  The “Walking Bus” meets every Friday at Tesco’s car park at 8:30am to walk to school by 9:00am, supervised by members of the school staff.

Parents are not allowed to drive into the school car park to drop off or collect their children between 8:00 and 3:45 due to Health and Safety concerns.
