School Council

The school council was established in September 2005 to ensure that each pupil had a voice to express their feelings on how the school is run, and to be involved in the school improvement process. Representatives are elected by each class from Year 2 to Year 6 at the start of each school year. Each representative is expected to take an active part themselves to represent the rest of their class. The school council meets every half term to discuss every issue raised by the pupils.

We strongly believe that having a school council is essential for the school, the pupils and the staff. It offers an opportunity for the pupils to express their feelings to teachers and staff, in addition to taking an active part in managerial decisions. The school council gives the pupils a chance to develop in confidence and develop their communication skills.
